2008 Speaking Engagements

George Mollo, President of GJM Associates, Inc. will once again be presenting at the Direct Tech, Inc (Forecast 21) Users group conference in Orlando, FL on February 10-13. His topic will be "Staying on Top Of Metrics." He will also be hosting a roundtable discussion on the same topic and Key Performance Indicators.

At the NCOF Conference in April (April 7-10 in Orlando, FL) he will be presenting a half-day preconference workshop titled "Conquering the Inventory Management Challenge."

In May, he will be presenting "Merchandise Analysis: A Critical Measurement for Success (Made Easy)" at the Annual Conference for Catalogers and Multichannel Merchants (ACCM), in Orlando, FL on May 19-22.

 

2007 Speaking Engagements

George Mollo, President of GJM Associates, Inc. made two presentations at the Annual Conference for Catalog & Multichannel Merchants in Boston from May 21-23, 2007. The first, a panel presentation, "50 Ideas! Tips, Tricks and Secrets to Reduce Operations Costs" and the second presentation was "Inventory Forecasting: It Doesn't Take a Village, Just Marketing and Merchandising."

In January, he was one of the keynote presenters at the Mid-America Motorworks "2007 M-Curve Quality Supplier Summit" held in Effingham, IL. His presentation of "Gross Margin Impacts on Profitability and Supplier Relationships" offered views from both the suppliers and direct marketers perspective and how building stronger partnerships can be a "win-win" for all.

 

2006 Speaking Engagements

George Mollo, President of GJM Associates, Inc. presented two different topics at the Direct Tech, Inc. (Forecast 21) Users Conference in Las Vegas on September 24-27. He reprised the session on "Breaking Down Silos" presented earlier this year at NCOF and also presented a session on "Merchandise Assortment Planning" and its importance to the entire Inventory Management process.

In May, he presented "Tighter  Inventory Controls for Improved Cash Flow and Bottom Line Profits" at the Annual Conference for Catalog, Internet  & Multichannel Merchants in Chicago on May 8-10. At the conference he also provided free consulting advice on Merchandise Planning, Inventory Management and Operations as part of "Ask the Doctor" Catalog Medical Center located in the Exhibit Hall.

In April, 2006, George Mollo, participated in a panel discussion on "Supply Chain Strategies for 2006 and Beyond" at the VendorNet Users Group meeting in Delray Beach, FL, April 3-4.

The following week, April 10-13, he presented "Breaking Down the Silos:  Communicating Information to Achieve Better Results" at the NCOF Conference in Orlando, FL. He also moderated a roundtable discussion on "Inventory Accuracy" and as he has for several years, he again moderated and participated in a panel discussion "60 Ideas in 60 Minutes: Managing Operations Costs."

 

2005 Speaking Engagements

To date, in 2005, George Mollo, President, GJM Associates, Inc. was part of a panel of industry experts at the New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA) Spring Conference, March 23-25 in Cambridge, MA.

At the NCOF Conference in Grapevine, TX, April 3-6, he moderated and took part in presenting 60 Ideas in 60 Minutes: "Managing Operations Costs."

At the Annual Catalog Conference in Orlando, FL, May 23-25, George Mollo was part of a panel discussing "Strategic Merchandise Building Blocks from A to Z" and also presented a session on "Applying Merchandise Analysis & Inventory Management Techniques to Uncover Hidden Profits in your Business."

He also presented an updated version of "Applying Merchandise & Inventory Management Techniques to Uncover Hidden Profits" at the Direct Marketing Association's Conference & Exhibition "DMA05" in Atlanta, October 15-19, 2005.

 

2004 Speaking Engagements

In 2004, George Mollo moderated and spoke at a number of industry conferences throughout the year. He moderated several panel discussions and roundtable conversations at the National Conference on Operations and Fulfillment (NCOF) in Chicago. At the DMA's Annual Catalog Conference in Chicago, he moderated and presented a two-part session on "Merchandise Assortment Planning and Item Forecasting". 

In the fall of 2004, he presented a three-hour workshop session on "Applying Merchandise & Inventory Techniques to Uncover Hidden Profits" at the New England Mail Order Association's (NEMOA) Fall Conference in Providence, RI. He also took part in a panel presentation "Forecasting the Future: Tips & Tricks from Marketing and Merchandise/Inventory Control" during the Direct Marketing Association's Annual Conference in New Orleans.

 

Other Engagements

In addition to regular DMA conferences, George Mollo has spoken at a number of vendor User Conferences and in Europe at the European Catalogue and Mail Order Days (ECMOD).
